Post-doctoral research associate
A Post-doctoral research associate position is available at Duke University in the Nicholas School of the Environment. The position is a two-year position working on a project funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The researcher will be involved in a large scale research project investigating children’s exposure to brominated flame retardant chemicals in indoor environments. In addition the project will also focus on metabolism of brominated flame retardants (BFRs) using in vitro techniques and human hepatocytes. Experience with GC/MS and LC/MS-MS systems and method development are ideal. Funding is available for up to two years with appointments beginning as soon as possible. The applicants should hold a PhD in environmental engineering or chemistry or related field and have good English language skills.
